Strasburg Rail Road Company is seeking to fill a position in our Boiler Shop with a team-oriented person possessing a strong work ethic, natural curiosity, and a desire to learn. The selected individual will have experience as a welder, fabricator, or mechanic.

The Engine House Mechanic’s primary purpose is to assist the Engine house Foreman in preparing locomotives for daily service, conduct periodic locomotive inspections, running repairs and maintenance to locomotives as required, trouble shoot locomotive systems, repair and test air brake valves, and other duties as directed.

Strasburg Rail Road Company is seeking to fill a position in our Machine Shop with a team-oriented person possessing a strong work ethic, natural curiosity, and a desire to learn. The selected individual will have experience as a machinist, tool & die maker, or millwright.

A Steam Locomotive Restoration Specialist’s primary purpose is to use specialized knowledge and skill in maintaining, constructing, repairing and operating historic and reproduction steam locomotives. This is a senior level position for an individual with unique abilities and experience in the field of steam locomotive restoration.
